About Us

As we continue to push the boundaries of automotive technology, we are looking for a highly skilled PSIRT (Product Security Incident Response Team) Architect to join our team. In this role, you will design and lead the implementation of security solutions to ensure the integrity and security of our vehicle data and systems.

Position Overview
As a PSIRT Architect at Volvo Cars, you will play a pivotal role in securing our products and data systems, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of safety and protection. You will be responsible for designing the VSOC (Vehicle Security Operations Center), determining what data should be ingested from within the vehicle, implementing end-to-end data encryption, and much more. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving our commitment to automotive security to new heights.

Key Responsibilities
* Design and lead the implementation of the Vehicle Security Operations Center (VSOC) to monitor and respond to security incidents.
* Define and architect the solution for ingesting and analyzing data from within the vehicle, ensuring data integrity and security.
* Plan and execute the hosting of security tools in the cloud environment to enhance the security posture.
* Lead security incident response efforts, identifying root causes, and devising mitigation strategies.
* Establish and maintain security policies and standards in alignment with industry best practices.
* Ensure contractual security clauses, including security SLAs, are adhered to.
* Continuously assess the security of the car's systems and components, identifying vulnerabilities.
* Coordinate and lead responses to security incidents, involving cross-functional teams.
* Stay informed about the latest security threats and vulnerabilities in the automotive industry.
* Work with development teams to develop and distribute security patches in a timely manner.
* Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards related to PSIRT.
* Ensure cyber readiness through the tabletop exercises involving both internal and external partners.
* Maintain detailed records of security incidents, responses, and preventive measures.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security practices into the product development lifecycle.
* Implement security monitoring and measurement mechanisms, track effectiveness, and achieve key performance indicators.
* Continuously evaluate and improve the SIEM tool detectors and the incident response process.
* Be available for on-call duties during major security incidents or emergencies.

Qualifications
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
* Proven experience in architecting and leading security solutions, especially in an automotive or related industry.
* Strong understanding of automotive industry, cybersecurity, SOC and cloud security.
* Excellent problem-solving skills, with a focus on identifying the root cause of security incidents.
* Knowledge of security policies, contractual security clauses, and risk assessment.
* Familiarity with vulnerability management and security incident response.
* Strong analytical and communication skills to convey complex ideas effectively.
