For our Project and Portfolio Management department within Product Management and R&D, we are now looking for an experienced Project Manager in Sandviken, with the mission to transfer our machining knowledge in a systematic way so that we can expand the digital opportunities to improve our customers manufacturing processes.
Key performance areas
The Project and Portfolio Management department is responsible for product offer processes and projects within this area across the organization. Working in close collaboration with all departments at Sandvik Coromant, we coordinate and suggest which offer are to be developed and phased out to ensure the long-term competitiveness and optimized lifecycle management aligned with the company business strategy.
In this position, you manage projects from initiation to execution, securing required resources, managing budgets, stakeholders, risks and changes, and you ensure that projects are completed in a timely manner. You also hold responsibility for supply and subcontract management, progress reporting, troubleshooting as well as people management and performance monitoring.
By defining and developing information models and mapping current possible sources of data, you take the lead in identifying which information we can utilize in creating, ordering and ensuring delivery of different concepts, which are then tested. To ensure continuous improvements and added value to the business, you identify needs and propose ideas for additional projects.
Your profile
We are looking for someone with a degree in a relevant field, as well as at least seven years' work experience in which you have developed a solid understanding of project management, technology, the mechanical engineering industry and/or the digital machining business. Finally, as we operate in an international setting, your English skills must be advanced, both verbally and in writing.
