JRS är en internationell katolsk organisation som ger stöd åt flyktingar och migranter i över 50 länder. Våra ledord är accompaniment, service och advocacy. JRS accompaniment innebär att vi vill vara med dem som är utanför. Vi följer Jesus, som föredrog att vara associerad med de fattiga och utstötta. JRS services finns till för flyktingar och fördrivna personer oavsett ras, etniskt ursprung eller religiös övertygelse. JRS advocacy kämpar för rättvisa och generösa politik och program för flyktingar och utsatta migranter.
Beskrivning av arbetsuppgifter:
In the project "Flyktingguider" . To implement the program "flyktingguider" including:
• To recruit volunteers for the program, prepare them and accompany them in their activities
• To invite new arrivals in Sweden to join the program
• To match both parties according to a standard procedure
• To organize common activities of the program
• To develop and evaluate the project with the prospective of expanding the program to other parishes
• To maintain project-based contacts with other JRS national/regional offices
• To maintain and actively participate in partnerships of strategic importance (e.g. "National nätverk för flyktingguider")
• To improve the funding of the project by means of fundraising. In other areas of JRS Sweden
• To assist with any other task required (especially in communications and coordination).
Beskrivning av kvalifikationer:
The post-holder will have the following essential experiences, skills, knowledge and abilities:
• Sympathy with or experience of the JRS vision and the basic values of the Catholic Church
• Ability to speak and write fluently and compellingly in Swedish and English
• Ability to develop creative solutions and inspire others
• Good networking capacities
• Capacities for organisational development and strategic planning
• Ability to manage several tasks simultaneously in a busy office environment and to meet deadlines
• Good organisational skills and ability to work in an intercultural environment.
The following desirable experiences, skills, knowledge and abilities are an advantage:
• University studies in social work, social or political science or law
• Field experience in working with refugees, migrants or vulnerable social groups
• Working knowledge of additional European languages, especially French, but also Spanish
• Working knowledge in one or more of the main languages of the people arriving to Sweden, especially Arabic.
