Scania Purchasing is responsible for sourcing products and services for all Scania units throughout the world.
The global purchasing responsibility is centralized in Södertälje.
Scania has a long history of being the industry's strongest brand and at the same time one of the most profitable manufacturers of heavy vehicles. Behind Scania's success lies the result of continuous development of our employees, products, methods, suppliers and markets.
Project Purchasing Forgings and Castings is responsible of sourcing all forged, casted and machined products for trucks and buses. The group is handling a high number of complex parts within various projects and is now looking for a dedicated team member that is interested in commerce and new technology.
Project Souring Manager
In the role as Project Sourcing Manager within Forgings and Castings, you will be responsible to evaluate and propose nominations of suppliers for development of new products.
You represent Purchasing in Scania's development projects and you are involved in supplier selections from a commercial- and quality perspective.
You are responsible for negotiations and to create proposals for commercial agreements, while actively developing the current and future supplier base.
Background
We are looking for someone who is interested in commerce, new technology and wants to be involved in the development of Scania. You are probably engineer or civil engineer with experience from production, purchasing or product development.
To be successful in this role, you also need to present your sourcing cases for the management team of purchasing. Professionalism, a structured approach and flexibility for a changing environment is also a success factor within this position.
You are a good relationship builder who enjoys working with people both within the company and with our suppliers. You will have many international contacts and should be able to express yourself fluently in written and spoken English and Swedish.
