Scania Purchasing is responsible for buying products and services for all of Scania's units around the world. The global purchasing function is based in Södertälje.
The Project Chassis & Bus Components group is in an intensive period involving a great many projects and is looking for a committed worker with an interest in commerce and new technology and who wants to be involved in developing tomorrow's Scania.
Your duties
As a Project Sourcing Manager for chassis and bus components, you will work cross-functionally in Scania's product development process together with product development, production, quality engineers and suppliers. You will play a key role in projects, with responsibility for technical and commercial issues with regard to suppliers and material purchases.
Your main tasks will consist of managing purchasing activities and contacts with our suppliers in everything from enquiries to negotiations, technical discussions, cost analysis and introduction of technical solutions. You will work to find the best technical and commercial solution for Scania in both predevelopment and industrialisation projects.
The work provides an excellent opportunity to work with new technology, finance and people. We work closely with our suppliers, which involves some business travel.
Your profile
We are looking for someone with a technical and commercial interest. Previous purchasing experience and/or experience of the automotive industry is an advantage but not mandatory. You have a university or college degree.
You will be motivated, businesslike, down-to-earth and possess a good ability to create and maintain good relations while working in an organised way. You will communicate clearly and have the ability to work both strategically and operatively.
You should be capable of expressing yourself fluently in both spoken and written English and Swedish.
If you think you fit this description and like the idea of joining a commercial and international environment with great opportunities for professional development, then we would love to hear from you.
