Your role and duties
We are looking to appoint a talented and experienced Sourcing professional who wants global exposure within a dynamic, fast paced and user-oriented environment. You will have an appetite for change and innovation, and bring an ambitious, motivated approach to our already high performing team. Working closely with key stakeholders, you will play an important role in supporting the development and delivery of new products within Permobil.
As Project Sourcing Manager at Permobil you will work in an organization responsible for project sourcing activities. Your key focus will be on our Power wheelchair product portfolio, which represent the largest business unit within Permobil. The responsibility for the Project Sourcing Manager is to coordinate, lead and execute the sourcing activities towards our global supplier base in Permobil product development projects and assignments.
Apart from traditional sourcing activities like inquiries, bid evaluations, supplier negotiations, you will also be a key person in developing and managing supplier co-development agreements, making sure that parties involved are collaborating in the most effective manner. You will own supplier relationships and be an integral part of the category team structure established to ensure we are managing our supplier base to suite Permobil targets.
Your key targets in this role will be to secure time to market promises for new and changed products as well as sharp cost awareness for our products. Focus is also on right cost from start in new product introductions as well as tools and concepts within the areas of total cost of ownership, clean sheet sourcing and category management - that are concepts well known to you. Furthermore, you will be part of a team driving alignment in global sourcing processes, methods and tools throughout Permobil Group.
Qualifications
We believe that you have a university degree within supply chain, engineering or equivalent education along with a portion of work experience from Sourcing, Product development, Purchasing, Procurement, Project purchasing or similar positions.
Knowledge in business analysis, business negotiations, Lean concept and production is expected. You also have an understanding of product development processes as well as an interest in quality, logistics and production engineering. You are quality concerned -both products and processes.
You are used work in multiple projects, can manage stressful situations, have a logical as well as an analytical way of thinking. We expect you to have good relationship management and communication skills as the majority of the work is cross-functional and international.
