Position
The Project Senior Planner will be a part of the Project Controls Department and will be reporting to the Project Controls Manager.
The primary responsibilities will include:
• Setting up and Implementation of a hierarchical project planning/progressing processes using the GVA preferred planning & scheduling system Primavera P6 e/c and associated Project Controls modules.
• Review current procedures and recommend improvements.
• Generate the Work Breakdown Structure for the Projects and develop precedence logic diagrams liaising with all associated parties to ensure they are enrolled in the plan.
• Resource load the plan and produce initial histograms for review / refinement.
• Develop and agree the planning baseline with project personnel and produce planned progress curves and histograms.
• Liaise with all parties in progressing the network, import actual hours worked to date to determine productivity factors by discipline.
• Issue monthly planning/progress reports showing the status of actual progress against plan, and forecast completion dates.
• Issue monthly updated progress, manhour and manpower graphics.
• Analyse all project controls project outputs and makes recommendations for the way forward.
• Provide narrative input to client reports.
• Provide input to change control process and the impacts change has on the schedule.
• Provide planning support to projects and bids.
• Analyze information and data for the preparation of planning reports on both current and long range issues.
• Coordinate GVA activity planning in cooperation with technical manager.
• Coordinate GVA project planning in cooperation with project control manager.
• Coordinate GVA quotation planning in cooperation with sales department.
Profile
The ideal candidate has qualifications and competencies which primarily include:
• Minimum 10 years experience in project planning, preferably within Oil & Gas Industry or similar businesses.
• Must understand industrial EPC projects. Should also ideally have an industry EPC project experience.
• Preferably an experience from an Engineering Consulting organization for at least 5 years in a similar position.
• Engineering degree or Engineering background is a plus.
• Ability to work unsupervised and also as a part of a broad-based team ? must be considered a team player.
• Applicant must be a self starter and team player with a positive attitude.
• Must understand how the planning and scheduling function dovetails with other related disciplines.
• Knowledge of Risk Management practices and systems would be an advantage
• Comfortable with communicating at all levels.
• Communicates fluently in both English & Swedish
