Job Description

The Project Risk Management team within Business Unit Onshore Wind is now looking for a dedicated Project Risk Manager to join Vattenfall's rapidly growing Wind business.
Business Area Wind is responsible for Vattenfall's Onshore and Offshore Wind as well as other non-hydro Renewable activities like PV/Solar. Today, we develop, construct and operate wind generation in Sweden, Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands and the UK. In addition, we have a clear strategy to develop our Solar operations further.
The Project Risk Management unit is responsible to continuously support BU Onshore in maintaining and improving the overall project risk management process. This means that we play a key part in guiding the business in how risk management should be applied to ensure that risk and opportunities are identified, key mitigation actions are taken and that conscious decisions are made with the right understanding of projects' risk profiles.
The Project Risk Management team consist today of three senior Risk Managers with deep expertise and long experience in the wind industry with presence in three different countries. We are part of a larger department called LCoE&Performance Excellence that is tasked to drive a performance agenda in the BU, both to reduce cost of electricity in our development projects as well as to improve our operating model. You will be part of cross team initiatives and be surrounded be colleagues that continuously look for opportunities to strengthen our business by identifying business case opportunities or improving our risk methodology.
Your responsibilities as a Project Risk Manager
We offer an exciting and varied position within Vattenfall's Wind business - a rapidly growing field offering excellent career opportunities. In the role as a Project Risk Manager you will support various development projects in different stages of the lifecycle in the project risk management process. This includes identification of risks and opportunities, managing risk database, conducting workshops with project teams and safeguarding overall risk quality assurance. You will also be part of improvement initiatives as we continuously strive to improve the way we work and the maturity of our business. You will therefore play a key role in educating key stakeholders in the risk process to increase knowledge and create a culture of risk awareness.

Qualifications

Your profile as a Project Risk Manager
• Risk management, engineering, technical or commercial qualification, graduate level or equivalent. Candidates with enough relevant experience in lieu of formal qualifications will also be considered
• Experience in project risk management preferably from the renewables industry (e.g. onshore, offshore and solar development) or other similar infrastructure industries e.g. oil and gas
• Experience with engineering disciplines associated infrastructure construction projects (i.e. Structural/Civil, Electrical Systems or Wind Turbine Generators) preferably from onshore wind
Complementing your experiences, you are also a person with strong analytical skills, with a general ability to manage and analyze data; and possess experience in modelling/simulation techniques used in risk management (e.g. montecarlo simulation). You are a strong team player, who is able to meet tight deadlines and produce concise information for senior management whilst meeting set goals. You have excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing, fluent in English which allows you to influence over a wide network of co-worker relationships and key stakeholders.
You will report to Head of Project Risk Management in BA Wind's Business Unit Onshore.
