hela Sverige You will be part of HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current), a business unit within ABB's Power Grids division located in Ludvika. The unit develops, manufactures and sells DC transmission systems on a global market. This ABB developed HVDC technology is used to transmit electricity over long distances and for power transmission via submarine cables. HVDC is also used to connect power systems.
Tasks
Your main mission will be to drive, monitor and organize all quality management tasks related to our HVDC projects throughout the entire project process - all to ensure that we deliver high quality that exceeds customer expectations. You will analyze and understand the requirements of the customer through transparent communication and drive, monitor and support the project team in the quality work. You will also be responsible for understanding and managing all risks related to quality.
In this role you will directly report to the Project Director and functionally to the Quality Manager.
The position is based in Ludvika but as projects are run globally, travelling will be required.
Requirements
As a foundation, you hold a Master's Degree in Engineering combined with at least 5 years' experience of managing quality in a large, global, project business/matrix organization. Prior experience as Project Quality Manager in HVDC Projects/Civil Construction/Oil&Gas/large infrastructure projects, is considered a plus.
To succeed in this position it is essential that you are proficient in MS Office applications and DMS such as PMDoc/eCM and are familiar with Sharepoint. The ability to quickly learn new software is required.
As you will be working in a global environment, you are proficient in English, written and spoken alike, whereas knowledge of Swedish and additional languages is meritorious.
On a personal level, you are structured, analytical and supportive with the ability to prioritize responsibilities and work independently. You have strong communicative and collaborative skills and contribute with positive and proactive mindset.
