What you will be a part of
Support and Services, a business area of Saab, supplies a wide range of services and integrated support solutions to customers in defence and on commercial markets for cost-efficient support of systems and platforms throughout their life cycle.
Airborne ISR (a business unit within Saab Support & Services) is leading a number of major aircraft modification/integration projects as well as operating several support contracts.In our daily work we interact with several other Saab Business Areas and this requires exceptional cooperation skills. Good communication, flexibility and a "can do" attitude are key words in our efforts to satisfy our customers.
The Project Quality Engineer is a Staff Function that supports the daily operations in our integration projects. You will be part of an experienced team in an expanding business with absolute focus on continuous improvements. Your contribution will play an important part in our integration projects where customer demands are very relying on our products and services to be "world class".We have fun at work but for us it is also important to have a sound balance between work and free time.
Your role
Airborne ISR Staff Function is an experienced team working with Quality, Risk and Opportunity, Business Improvement and Administration.You will be assigned one of our integrations projects with responsibility for the daily quality management tasks. Building a strong network within the project and production personnel is key to your success. You will handle very different and sometimes challenging tasks making everyday a special.
To be able to succeed you need to:- Be very flexible, ready to handle different issues with challenging deadlines.- Be curious and interested in design, production and service.- Have a structured way of documenting, analyzing, identifying root cause and corrective actions.
Your skills and experience
You are a result oriented "hands-on" Quality Engineer with a positive attitude. You are familiar with quality management tools such as a FMEA, RCA, 5-WHY etc. Experience from Six Sigma or Lean programs would be appreciated. An Engineering Master's degree or other relevant experience from large organizations would be preferred. A basic knowledge about manufacturing and/or development is required.
The job includes access to classified information and all selected candidates must undergo and pass a security clearance performed by government authorities prior to employment.
