Project Purchasing Manager - Powertrain Drivetrain Component

Scania Purchasing is responsible for the purchase of products and services to the Scania units worldwide, with the responsibility centralized in Södertälje, Sweden. As Powertrain Purchasing now is about to enter an interesting phase with a lot of new projects, we see a need to strengthen the project purchasing management team with a new project purchasing manager responsible for the drivetrain component segment.

You will be manager for the new group Project Drivetrain Components, within the department Powertrain purchasing. The group is responsible for the purchasing activities for the drivetrain component segments within Scania's pre-development and development projects.

Main tasks
As a project purchasing manager you will be responsible for a team of project purchasers with the main task to secure that Purchasing meets the expected cost, quality and time targets within the drivetrain component segments stated in product development projects.

You are also responsible for the development of your co-workers.

Besides this you are an active member of the project Powertrain management team, and contribute to further develop Powertrain purchasing, as well as a member of different decision forums, both within purchasing and cross functionally, e.g. PGC (Project group manager committee) and different cross functional steering committees.

Your profile
You are a person that works in a proactive, structured and organized way. You take own initiatives, are capable of handling multiple open cases, have a commercial mindset and a strong interest in the product development at Scania.

You like to work in an international and cross-functional environment and have a high integrity and works according to Scania's leadership principles. Due to the many interactions at different levels within the Scania organization it is also important that you have the ability to collaborate, build trust and that you have strong communication skills.
