Hitachi Energy HVDC is the global market leader with its center of Competence in Ludvika, Sweden. The business and the large projects are truly global and out of the approx. 2000 employee's half is outside Sweden. The projects are typically between 50-1000 MUSD and often EPC type of projects. An increasing portion of the business is also off-shore, where off-shore wind generation is transmitted with HVDC technology from a platform to shore. The HVDC business has a very promising market outlook, based on the rapid development of all renewable energy integration.
We expect to grow significantly over the next years and our now looking for a Project Portfolio Manager to join our team.
As Project Portfolio Manager at Operations your main objective and responsibility is to lead a Portfolio of Projects with all Project Directors.
You will be part of HVDC's Operations management team and report directly to our Global Head of Operations Vice President.
Your responsibilities
Lead the project portfolio in terms of risk and profitability
Support and challenge the project management teams to secure progress with minimized risk and improved profitability
Lead and develop a high performing organization
Advanced Market and Business insights to enhance the organization 's goals
Collaborate with stakeholders internally as well as externally
Secure and develop relevant competencies and resources
Be a contributor in the Operations management team, sharing the customers' voice and drive the important project execution focus.

Your background
Successful track-record leading large projects, most likely within infrastructure/construction
Experience of having a leading role in international organizations with employees and customers placed globally
Experience in EPC project management
A plus will be experience in Engineering, Quality control, Contract Management functions and processes in EPC energy projects or similar industrial plants
As a person you are result oriented, combined with good ability to lead, and deliver set goals
You have developed cooperative and diplomatic skills as well as great communication skills
You are comfortable with leading and implementing change while having excellent leadership skills
Superior knowledge in English and Swedish is required, both written and spoken
