Job Description
We are now looking for a Project Portfolio Manager supporting our sales businesses in Customers Nordic
In Customers Nordic we offer fossil free electricity and services to our Business- and Consumer sales customers. Digitalisation is one of our most prioritised areas and we are now looking for a Project Portfolio Manager to manage the IT Project Portfolio and the IT Project Management Process, to ensure that it runs effectively and smoothly and to monitor and communicate the Project Portfolio performance towards the top management and throughout the organisation. The goal of the role is to maximize business value with focus at a strategic level to help the business to translate strategy into execution. The role also includes to coordinate and follow up the overall IT budget within Customers Nordic. The role is closely connected to the Nordic BIO for our sales operations in all Nordic countries and we offer you a challenging career in a fast developing energy business from the utility to a digitalised service in a new energy landscape. About the position
Key Responsibilities of the Project Portfolio Manager
1) Process Owner: The Project Portfolio Manager is responsible to manage the Portfolio Management Process and to ensure that it runs effectively and smoothly. As the Project Portfolio Manager you will be the subject matter expert on portfolio management and as such, the process owner of the Portfolio Management Process. The Project Portfolio Manager should design and implement needed process steps and capabilities such as Portfolio Planning, Project Decision Making Process and Portfolio analysis and reporting.
In this work, the Project Portfolio Manager should understand and analyse the portfolio maturity and understand the level of sophistication of the organisation to develop and implement necessary process improvements for the business to be successful.
2) Monitoring and communication of Project Portfolio performance: The task of monitoring the Portfolio performance includes analysing project and portfolio data as well as develop reports, dashboards, and analytics to support the executive portfolio governance (Project Review Board). The Project Portfolio Manager communicates across the organisation about project and portfolio value, project and portfolio risk, project and portfolio performance, project and portfolio related decisions, and the portfolio management process.
3) Process support: As the responsibility of The Project Portfolio Manager also includes to monitor the process effectivity and execution, the Project Portfolio Manager needs to be an advocate and educator of portfolio and project management towards the organisation, including educating and coaching senior leaders. To be able to succeed in this task, the Project Portfolio Manager should understand organisational change management in order to help the organisation to adopt the portfolio management processes.
4) IT Budget and cost control: The Project Portfolio Manager is responsible to manage the overall IT Project Portfolio budget, follow the overall project spend and to report this to the Customer Nordic management team.
In Customers Nordic, the role of the Project Portfolio Manager also includes a responsibility to coordinate and follow up the different operating units overall IT budget. This includes to participate in the yearly Business Planning Process with a responsibility to coordinate and report the overall IT budget forecast and IT spend and report to Customer Nordics management team and to the Business area Business Control.
Qualifications
We are looking for a Project Portfolio Manager who has minimum 10 years of relevant work experience. We believe you have good understanding of utility business processes and their IT capability needs. Moreover, you have strong communication skills and can communicate with different levels in the organisation. You know how to combine and balance stakeholders' interests and are not afraid to take decisions to ensure output is being realised. We believe that you are passionate about your work and enjoy being in an ever-changing environment. Our ideal candidate, we believe has the following qualifications and qualities:
Good understanding of the utility- and electricity business.
Experience from working in a large international company.
Experience of working with development of IT in a business context.
Deep experience in Portfolio and Project Management, covering both processes, support and execution follow up.
Experience from developing reports, dashboards, and analytics to support the executive portfolio governance and the IT budget process.
Understanding and experience of agile methods and way of working.
Understand organisational change management in order to help the organisation to adopt the portfolio management processes.
Fluent in Swedish and English in written and spoken.
Understanding of privacy and security regulations to ensure that privacy and security aspects are addressed in our IT development projects.
Master's degree with 10 years of experience of Portfolio and Project Management.
