You will be part of HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current), which is a business unit within ABB's Power Grids division located in Ludvika. The unit develops, manufactures and sells DC transmission systems on a global market. This ABB developed HVDC technology is used to transmit electricity over long distances and for power transmission via submarine cables. HVDC is also used to connect power systems.Project Controls is a vital part in project execution which aim to support Project Management teams by applying integrated project control processes, tools and techniques and to provide expertize to project planning and scheduling, cost and cash management, as well as change control and risk management activities. The purpose of the Project Controls function is to facilitate proactive performance management by providing consistent, accurate and timely information to the project team.Tasks:Would you like to be a part of the HVDC business unit with challenging projects and great development opportunities? As a Project Planner your main mission is to lead the planning and scheduling for the entire project phase, and to develop and maintain a project schedule throughout the project in HVDC's delivery of EPC-projects (Engineering, Procurement and Construction). Your main responsibilities will be:* To analyze project requirements with project team, to check that all essential work activities have been identified in sufficient detail to serve as a basis for developing realistic project schedules.* To define, jointly with the project team, project work and cost breakdown structure, develop and maintain properly linked, required resource loaded/integrated, baseline and current schedules that provide time phased baseline, actual and forecast data for project.* To monitor project progress and regularly analyze project critical paths to ensure all critical path activities and project milestones are progressed to the plan, notify Project Team of any deviations or scheduling issues, and provide input for optimizing resources.* To issue progress reports, program updates and productivity data on a regular basis and as requested by customers and stakeholders.Since it is a global role, you will have an opportunity to broaden your network, building a great platform for a sustainable career within ABB.Requirements:We are looking for candidates currently working as Project Planners in large EPC companies or similar.To succeed in this role, you need thorough understanding of logical sequencing and interfacing of project execution activities in EPC projects and the ability to lead planning activities in multi-location EPC projects. You hold an Engineering degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience in planning and scheduling in lump sum projects, including site construction activities and experience to plan activities and to monitor execution schedules and physical progress in all project phases. Also experience from Cost Management, including cost estimate input from departments, compare estimate input to experience data and ensure compliance with time schedule, is equally important. Furthermore, you are a team player, with leadership skills, business mindset and flexibility, and strong communicator, with ability to highlight key issues and to communicate them to management and customers.
