hela Sverige The Administration & Project Support Directorate at the European Spallation Source (ESS) in Lund, Sweden, invites applications for two Project Planner positions in the Project Support Division.
Description of division
The Project Support division has two major areas:
• Planning, which includes project and risk management processes as well as managing total cost and schedule for the construction of ESS
• Finance, which includes accounting, cash flow, currencies, external reporting including annual and quarterly reports and internal reporting
The Project Support division currently consists of 19 staff.
Description of main responsibilities
The Project Planner will have the following responsibilities:
• Create, manage and maintain planning, cost and schedule for projects in the design and construction of the European Spallation Source
• Ensure that the project plan and schedule are aligned with the top-level planning
• Make project forecasts, both schedule and cost
• Monitor and report project performance and progress through Earned Value management
• Support the project managers in the planning and reporting process
• Participate in establishing processes for planning, reporting and monitoring projects
• Participate in other activities performed by the Project support and Finance division
Qualifications
• Master of Science, Master of Business Administration or other relevant degree/experience
• Experience of working in a complex (both technical but also organisational) international project environment
• Several years' experience of project and risk management
Excellent oral and written English skills is a prerequisite, knowledge in other languages would be an advantage.
Desirable is experience of:
• Earned Value Management methodology
• XLPM (PROPS) or PMI project management methodology
• Primavera P6 (planning software)
• Deltech COBRA (Earned Value Management Software)

Duration & Location
The positions are permanent with six months initial probationary period. Your work place will be situated in Lund, Sweden. The positions are to be filled as soon as possible.
