hela Sverige The Communications, External Relations and In-kind Division at the European Spallation Source (ESS) in Lund, Sweden, invites applications for a Project Officer / Coordinator ILO Network .
Description of directorate/division
The Project Officer / Coordinator ILO Network will report to the Head of Communications, External Relations and In-kind Division, which is in charge of strategic and operation activities related to internal and external communications, stakeholder relations and the In-kind management. This position is linked to a Horizon 2020 grant (INFRADEV-3), which is dedicated to the individual implementation and operation of ESFRI projects.
Description of main responsibilities
The role of a Project Officer / Coordinator ILO Network consist of the following tasks among others:
• Management of the ESS Network of Industrial Liaison Officers in co-operation with the External Relations & EU Projects Group.
• Provision of relevant, well-prepared and timely information the ILO Network about procurement and IKC opportunities at ESS and its partner organisations.
• Identification of future technological needs.
• Enlarging the base of industrial suppliers (especially for advanced technologies).
• Organisation of events.
• Being the first point of contacts for inudstry request at ESS.
• Close cooperation with the in-house Procurement and In-kind units.
Qualifications
• Proven professional experience (5-7 years) from working in an R&D environment preferably from the private sector.
• Solid understanding of the supply sector for research infrastructures.
• Experience in working with international, cross-functional teams.
• Academic degree in a subject relevant to the portfolio of the tasks such as physics or engineering.
• Proven project management skills, including responsibilities for financial management and reporting.
To be successful and perform well in this position you are adaptable, flexible, well organised and structured. This position will also require some travel.

Duration & Location
Three years. Your work place will be situated in Lund, Sweden. The position is to be filled as soon as possible.
