Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Poland, Russia, Sweden, as well as the European Union. A Permanent International Secretariat was established in Stockholm in October 1998.
CBSS is looking for an enthusiastic and organised individual who has excellent skills in communications, project management and experience in producing and strategising creative dissemination that engages a diverse range of organisations. The Project Officer will work under the supervision of and reports to the Senior Adviser on Civil Security and the Senior Adviser for Baltic 2030 Unit. All communications and dissemination activities are organised in consultation and collaboration with the Head of Media & Communications at CBSS Secretariat.
The Project Officer is responsible for preparation and implementation of the activities provided in the PA Secure and HA Climate Technical Assistance Project, in the current project portfolio as well as the distribution of the projects? results and outputs to the relevant stakeholders in the Baltic Sea Region. We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Officer to publicise achievements of PA Secure/HA Climate to a wide range of audiences. Working within the busy team, you will use your understanding of the EUSBSR and writing skills to create and promote content for our publications, website and social media channels. You must have experience of disseminating results to large audiences, be confident at giving presentations and have the ability to work proactively and independently in this very varied role.
The responsibilities of the Project Officer include:
Awareness building and dissemination of the results and outputs of PA Secure and HA Climate projects and activities through different communication channels
Producing content for the websites
Drafting documents i.e. press releases, speeches and articles
Assist in the planning and designing of new projects as well as other activities outlined in the EUSBSR Action Plan
Support in drafting project applications in an EU-context
Coordinate dissemination, which includes project management and initiation, and production of offline and online material
Manage, initiate and deliver multiple projects to communicate the work of PA Secure and HA Climate
This work includes, but is not limited to: writing project plans; advising staff (PA Secure and HA Climate teams) and EUSBSR stakeholders on the most relevant methods of communication; proofreading; sourcing promotional merchandise; producing emails for different audiences, producing social media content and managing requests for communications,
Coordinate and develop new and existing dissemination channels that allow for improved targeting of messages to different stakeholder segments.
This vacancy is subject to local recruitment, i.e. it is open to candidates currently tax resident in Sweden. The Secretariat shall not assist with matters concerning residence or work permit and no relocation or moving expenses are payable in connection with local recruitment. The Project Officer will be appointed for a period of two years with possibility of prolongation depending on funding. The starting date for the position is 15 October 2016. The first 6 months shall be a probationary period. The place of employment is Stockholm.
