Volvo Cars Human-Centric Lab is looking for an agile Project Office Manager with a human-centric mindset to contribute to setting the direction for our multi-disciplined development teams in close cooperation with our external partners worldwide.

The recently started section Human-Centric Lab within Product & Quality at Volvo Cars is responsible for increasing the focus on human-centric research and perspectives by realising the Human-Centric Lab ideas; to combine physical and virtual product development and experimental research. Examples of ongoing research areas are Autonomous Drive and smart cities development.

The challenge consists of increasing the speed to reaching results and recommendations in the field of human factors development, reflecting the expectations and needs of our future customers.

What you'll do

As a Project Office Manager you will take part of building up this lab together with the cross-functional project team of technical leaders and experts in the field of user experience such as User Interaction and Interface, HMI, Ergonomics, Safety, Driving Dynamics, Driver Assistance, Illumination and Design.

The lab shall develop and spread expertise regarding human factors methodologies and design to support future car programs with knowledge about future customer needs, behaviours, environment and usage of our products.

You are going to take part in building a strong team that consists of technical experts and attribute leaders in close co-operation with other experts and competence centers with the responsibility of the following key tasks:

* Co-operate with the HCLab core team in starting up the organisation, with activities such as:
1. Facilitate, develop and coordinate the team's activities inside and outside the organisation.
2. Secure that results and gained knowledge is disseminated within the organisation
3. Secure that developed and decided analysis and research methods are used within the lab
4. Lead and coach the team to make it work agile

Do you fit the profile?

* Relevant work experience preferably within explorative product development, with passion for end customer value
* Experience of studying or working in an international environment
* At least a BSc degree in Human Factors, User Experience, Cognitive Science, Interaction Design or equivalent
* Fluent in English, oral and written
* Driver's license (B)

If you also have the following experience, we consider it to be highly meritorious:

* Leading or coaching teams/projects
* Working with agile development
* Development work in the automobile industry or IT/Services
