Project & Program Services Manager

Volvo Car Corporation is looking for a Program & Project Services Manager to join the Development & Professional Services (DPS) department. As a Program & Project Services Manager you will be working in a rapidly changing environment with many new demands and initiatives. You will manage and lead a team responsible for providing professional guidance and support on Project and Development Methodologies, Tools, Best Practice and Professional Development contributing to continual delivery improvement. You will report to the IT Director DPS and be a member of the DPS Management Team.

DPS is an IT function responsible for the global delivery of new IT developments and IT projects within the Operational Development (OD) portfolio. The contribution of the department is of strategic importance and is connected to Production Offering and Customer Satisfaction. DPS provides the IT and professional services needed to secure effective and successful delivery of new IT solutions.

Job profile:

You will manage and lead a team which main responsibilities are:

• Ownership of Program & project governance frameworks and management methodologies (ODGF, ODPF, and DITS)

• Ensure development and refinement of frameworks to support alternative delivery models

• Drive best practice identification and propagation within Project Management, Business Analysis and Project Delivery communities, i.e. Community of Practice Champion for these disciplines

• Project Quality Office

• Provide supportive and collaborative Quality Assurance (QA) processes and build a project internal quality assurance mind-set

• Enterprise Program Management Office securing KPI measurement and reporting

• Methods & Tools provision and development for Project Management, Business Analysis, Project Delivery

• Training, Coaching & On boarding for Project Managers, Delivery Managers and Business Analyst

• Manage the Operational Development (OD) portfolio for projects between Gate 2 and Gate 7

• Monitor & Control overall Portfolio performance control portfolio complexity and risk

Your profile:

• University degree or equivalent

• Minimum 12 years experience within IT Development

• Demonstrable Track Record in Methodology and Tool Development within IT

• Experience of leading and working in IT Program Management Offices

• Experience of leading multidiscipline teams

• Leadership experience in change Management

• Strong motivation and ability to develop employees and operations

• Excellent communication skills and fluent in English

• Self starting and highly motivated

• Willingness to innovate and take on new challenges

• Striving for improvement

• Result oriented

• Structured & Methodical approach to duties
