Are you a driven and communicative person with strong analytical and problem solving skills who likes to be a part of driving projects within your segment portfolio including supply chain optimization activities? Then please continue to read because you are probably the one we are looking for!Core activities and responsibilities: As a Project and Operations Buyer you will manage all purchasing issues in your portfolio related to projects after supplier selection. You will attend in applicable project cross-functional teams, and ensure deliverables from suppliers to fulfill quality activities handled by the Purchasing quality engineers . You will lead activities when it comes to follow up, negotiate and track changes between contract and actual project needs. Capacity discussions and crisis management is a natural part of your work.This will require for you to have the ability to work in an environment where drive and teamwork is very important. It is essential to collaborate with suppliers as well as designers and purchasing quality engineers. As a Project and Operations Buyer at Volvo Buses in Gothenburg you will be a member of a team of 10 buyers and report to the Project & Operations Manager. Other responsibilities:You will handle calculation requests and manage various purchase orders to ensure that the suppliers are prepared for production. Other parts of the job is to forecast part cost evolution, to implement and follow up raw material fluctuations or to drive purchasing activities within your area related to quality field claims. When needed you will also be part of proposing resourcing activities , drive tasks related to the supplier switch and ensure the sourcing part is handed over to the Sourcing buyer.In our team we like to support each other and collaborate with the other buyers to make sure that we reach the best possible outcome in each segment. Key qualifications required:University degree in business administration or science Proactive with a drive to improve Fluent in written and spoken Swedish and EnglishTeam playerExcellent communication skillsStrong analytical and problem solving skillsOrganized and thoroughTechnical understandingNegotiation skills3-5 years purchasing experienceAre you the person that we are looking for?
