This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-growth company with a unique business model in a workplace where you can truly make a difference. We are currently 500+ employees across 31 different nationalities and counting, and we are looking for a Commercial Project Manager to join the Project Management & Design team in our Malmö or Stockholm office.
We're not hired. We join.
As our new colleague, you will join our newly established Project Management & Design team. The team and role are under development, and you play an essential role in shaping the team. You will collaborate closely with our Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC) team.
The Swedish organisation is entrepreneurial and consists of 20+ colleagues working in different areas supporting the green transition: business development, grid integration, environmental permits, asset management, and much more.
You should expect to spend most of the days in the office each week, so you become part of the vibrant atmosphere that is known throughout the Better Energy organisation. The workplace has a very positive aura with an entrepreneurial mindset, colleagues assisting each other with all tasks (small and big) depending on that day's priorities and sharing ups and downs in the development process. We work and deliver as one team, regardless of functional belonging.
Our top priority is to build our first large scale PV parks in Sweden to deliver new green energy to the grid. We see you have an important role in this mission.
How you will make a difference in Better Energy
As Project & Asset Manager in Sweden, you have a successful track record in commercial project management and preferably have a background in optimisation of assets in the energy sector.
We offer an excellent opportunity for professional and personal development together with like-minded, friendly, and talented colleagues who prioritise delivering the best results while remembering to share a good laugh.
Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:
Managing the development of large-scale solar park projects in Sweden.
Overseeing scope, project financial objectives and schedules for our solar park projects.
Handling ongoing liabilities, implementing risk management plans, and managing project changes.
Serving as the technical contact for our Planning and Process unit during the development phase (including EIAs, Zoning Decision, building permit, and amending building permit).
Have full commercial responsibility for your appointed assets in Sweden and delivering on the scope of the Commercial Management Agreement throughout the lifetime of assets and their related entities.
Management and governance of contracts for your appointed assets, in close collaboration with Legal.
Case management and reporting on impact, exposure, and mitigation of risks.
Manage improvement initiatives for your appointed assets and the portfolio.
Optimisation of the operational assets' performance in close collaboration with the Finance Investment Management and the Technical Asset Management team.
Point of contact internally for all commercial matters on your appointed assets.
So, who are we looking for?
The ideal candidate will have the following skills, knowledge and experience:
Experience in supervising and managing works related to building renewable facilities or similar.
Approximately 3-5 years of experience in commercial asset management or project management, ideally within the renewable energy sector.
Ability to identify all development risks regarding project development and knowledge of how to overcome them.
Higher professional degree in an engineering field relevant to the job (B.Sc. or higher) or Master's degree in economics, finance, engineering, legal, or related interdisciplinary fields.
Excellent report writing, presentation, and verbal communication skills.
Experience in stakeholder interaction and the capability to meet deadlines.
Driver's license (Category B).
Fluency in English and Swedish (both mandatory).
Additionally, we find it important that you possess the following competencies:
You are a driven and organised individual who can prioritise tasks, manage deadlines, and pay close attention to detail.
You are proactive, curious and have a strong sense of responsibility towards your work and achieve results by executing on your tasks efficiently.
You are an excellent communicator, with an analytical mindset and business judgement, who enjoys solving problems and building, maintaining, and improving processes and systems.
You enjoy engaging in dialogues with new people and you thrive in an environment with stakeholders from various functions but at the same time you can work independently.
You enjoy working in an international workplace with multicultural teams.
