Our organization incorporates a Projects & Engineering function that acts as a center of excellence in the field of project management and engineering, creating real business value by delivering investment projects and optimizing current operations.
For Projects & Engineering in Bohus, Sweden, we are now looking for two Project Managers, who are capable of leading large and complex projects on a global basis.
At Projects & Engineering you will get the opportunity to further develop your talent and skillset, contributing to continuously improve our organization and services. We offer an interesting work environment where you will be working together with approximately 180 highly skilled technical professionals at our offices in Brazil, China, India, Netherlands, Sweden and USA.
Main responsibilities
• Identify and analyze business needs, stakeholders and synergies to other projects and define project scope and objectives
• Actively apply the global project execution model through all phases, from Front-End-Loading, through detail engineering to construction, commisioning & start-up
• Formulate the project plan, propose the most effective execution strategy incl engineering and construction sub-contracts, budget and required resources, clarify roles and responsibilities, and acquire approvals
• Actively lead, monitor and control project progress through a multi-dicipline team, with strong focus on predictability of schedule, cost, risk and change
• Provide transparent reporting, analysis and mitigation planning to the project steering team, functional management and key stakeholders
• Manage project close out, assessment of lessons learned, project documentation and hand-over to operations
Job requirements/Candidate profile
• Bachelor's or higher degree in engineering or related disciplines
• Relevant experience including 5-10 years' experience in multi-discipline engineering and project environments, exposure to multiple locations, cultures and/or companies
• Knowledge of engineering management systems, models and programs
• Extensive management capabilities and ability to work in an inclusive way in the engineering community
• Strong strategic and conceptual skills with ability to execute and follow through on commitments
• Ability to drive continuous improvement of processes, policies and standards
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong influencing, entrepreneurship, negotiation and problem solving skills
• Fluent in English
