Your responsibilities and tasks as Project Manager:
As Project Manager within R&D you will be a part of leading the transformation of Vattenfall in the future energy landscape towards becoming fossil free within one generation. You will lead and participate in projects to develop local solutions for energy efficient and sustainable systems, taking into account the interaction between different system components such as central and local energy production, district heating grid, electricity network, residential solutions etc. You will:
• Lead an agile team to execute development and demonstration projects, mainly within the field of energy solutions for city districts
• Have continuous dialogues with stakeholders primarily in Vattenfall, but also externally
• Identify customer/stakeholder needs and translate them into concrete projects
• Ensure system perspective and business benefit
• Perform and support colleagues in technical and business case analyses
Your qualifications and personal skills as Project Manager:
• You have a University degree in Engineering with an energy relevance. At least 2-3 years of useful work experience in project management.
• You have knowledge and experience of the energy system for a city and the interaction between systems components, such as central and local energy production, district heating grid, electricity network, residential solutions etc.
• You have experience in technical and business case analyses
• You are fluent in English (verbal and written). A good command of Swedish is meritorious.
You are analytical, committed and self-driven with good communication and interpersonal skills. You are able to turn bold ideas and ambitions into concrete and successful projects and have the ability to discuss possible solutions with customers and R&D teams. As the work involves extensive interaction both internally and with external partners and suppliers, a good understanding of commercial aspects and an ability to establish and maintain relationships and networks is an advantage.
