The Laboratory is the innovation hub of the H&M Group. Our mission is to help prepare the H&M Group for the future by challenging the way we do business. The Laboratory aims to provide an outside-in perspective on our business, industry, society and technology, with an aim to explore the future and challenge our thinking. The Laboratory acts as a multi-disciplinary collective with three interconnected labs and so apart from the Idea Exploration Lab, where this role is placed, we also have The Research Lab that researches, interprets and summarizes consumer-, tech-, macro- and industry developments and Co:Lab that invests in relevant businesses.
Job Description
As a Project Manager within the Laboratory you will work towards our overall mission to truly make a difference and challenge our business in a nice way. This role sits in the Idea Explorations Lab where we explore and test new ideas and concepts with internal and external partners. You will set goals and processes in order to turn pilots into actual projects as well as developing ways of working within our organization. As a Project Manager with digital and tech knowledge you will drive digital projects as well as drive parts of blended initiatives.
Your responsibilities include, among others:
Set overall project plans together with Business Developer (who is the owner of the projects you will work on)
Set project plans with structure, method, follow-up and timelines etc.
Ensure check-ins
Make sure that timelines are followed, and deadlines met
In addition to overall responsibilities, a Project Manager is also a member in the project team which includes operational work with assigned tasks and responsibilities, this could for example be strategy work, interviews and reading.
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of experience from project leading roles within the tech landscape, preferably with several projects ongoing at the same time
Relevant university degree, for example within business or IT
Good understanding of the tech industry and digital developments
Experience of cross-functional and agile projects involving both internal and external stakeholders
Strong interest and passion for new digital tech solutions
Full proficiency in English

You also need to be flexible with an openness and positive attitude to changes and new ways forward as well as having the ability to engage others. Since the projects you will be a part of require close teamwork both within H&M Group and with external partners, we think it's important that you're an openminded communicator with a perceptive approach and strong networking skills.
