JOB DESCRIPTION
Axis’ overall goal is to further strengthen and develop the company’s position as the leading supplier of network video solutions. In order to do so we need enthusiastic and bright people. At the moment we are looking for a Project Manager to the Core Technologies Imaging team.
As a Project Manager you will be running projects covering qualification of new sensor and optics components and other new technology as well as projects developing new imaging algorithms. It will be your responsibility to plan and execute these projects. Another part of the role is to manage the communication between project and stakeholders within the organization. Projects are typically run in small teams of 3-8 individuals.
Your main tasks will be to:
• Drive normal project management activities like planning, requirements specifications and follow up project progress.
• Actively look for solutions, including technical, and drive decision making
• Look for synergies and dependencies with/on other projects
• Dare to set tough, but yet, realistic schedules and inspire and coach the team to succeed
• Fight for your project's success and strive to meet tollgate deadlines
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for a Project Manager with an educational background in engineering; preferably with a Master’s degree in relevant subjects e.g. computer science or electrical engineering. The right candidate has an interest in product development and 5+ years of experience from development projects. Furthermore we think you have good knowledge of development processes and project models.
The role as Project Manager is collaborative and requires the ability to interact with many people in and outside the organization. You have good communications skills and are fluent in English, both written and verbal. Apart from the above we believe the position requires a creative, driven and goal-oriented individual with social skills enabling a good team spirit and good performance in the projects.
THE CORE TECHNOLOGIES IMAGING TEAM
The Core Technologies Imaging team is responsible for development of imaging processing algorithms as well as integration of optics systems and sensor technology for Axis products. We deliver technology platforms on which the product development organization builds camera products. The team is also a competence center for the R&D organization in areas of image processing, sensor technology and optics.
