Description of employment
As an consultant and as a Project Manager Aftermarket within Customer Solutions you will be globally responsible for the Aftermarket sub project and New Product Development projects such as, Product Platform project and Technology Platform projects. The main role is to plan and manage the aftermarket activities in NPD projects in tight collaboration with Technology, Operations, Sales & Marketing and Regions. This challenging role will also involve leading and participation in the development and implementation of global work patterns in co-operation with the other project managers in our team and other stakeholders in the aftermarket projects. The Aftermarket resources for these projects are mainly located in The Aftermarket resources for these projects are mainly located in in Eskilstuna and Braås. This means that travelling may be needed.
Main responsibilities
• Plan, lead and follow-up the Aftermarket project team to secure Aftermarket support and products linked to New Product Development projects
• Secure that Aftermarket needs and requirements are gathered and feed into NPD projects
• Process improvements in project management
• Ensure that Aftermarket project targets are set and met
• Involve Aftermarket line organization from early project phases to project completion. Projects are using the Volvo Global Development Process (GDP)
• Pro-active management of deviations
• Participate in Platform Projects forum
• Point of contact between Aftermarket, Platform Projects and Regions linked to NPD * Develop a network within Sales & Marketing, Technology, Operations and Regions

Personal skills
Minimum 5 years documented experience as a project manager
• Technical knowledge and/or interest needed
• Proven leadership capabilities
• Ability to lead global, multicultural and cross-functional teams
• Strong goal orientation and focus on result
• Pro-active mindset and excellent problem solving skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Organized and structured
• A university degree needed
• Fluent in written and spoken English is a must
• Excellent in MS Office
