Axis is now looking for an experienced Project Manager positioned in our Research & Development organization focusing on the new video products/ pan-tilt-zoom cameras.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
You will lead and be part of a very talented and devoted team with focus on innovation and development in Axis market-leading network video solutions.
As a Project Manager, a challenge is to lead one or several projects in parallel with various scope and complexity. The projects encapsulate both hardware and software related requirements. You will lead the best engineers and cooperate with other product, project and line managers from different units.
At new video products you will play a very important role in the team using all your leader and coordination skills to guide successfully in the embedded systems arena with focus on pan-tilt-zoom camera products.
Your responsibilities are:
• Work with product management to refine product ideas
• Project lead our new video product projects
• Drive normal project management activities like planning, writing specifications and follow-up
• Actively look for solutions, including technical, and drive decision making
• Look for synergies and dependencies with/on other projects
• Dare to set tough/realistic schedules and inspire the team to succeed with it
• Fight for your project's success
• Respect tollgate deadlines and defined working models
• Contribute to our processes and methods in the project manager forums
• Bridge the interface between core technology development and the product teams

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Axis is looking for a structured and multitasking individual with substantial project management experience. In order to be successful in this position we believe that you are flexible, have good leader skills and an excellent attention to details. We are looking for a Project Manager with an educational background in engineering; preferably with a master degree in relevant subjects e.g. computer science/mechanical engineer or electrical engineering. The right candidates have an interest in product development and 3-5 years of experience from managing development projects. It is considered an extra plus if previous experiences involve a mix of electronics, software and mechanics. Having an interest for all steps of the product development cycle is also important: from refining ideas into requirements specifications to getting all the details in place for the final product.
Your English is fluent, both written and verbal.
THE PAN-TILT-ZOOM CAMERA TEAM
The Pan-tilt-zoom camera team develops new network video products and accessories from idea to mass production using Axis technology platforms. The typical team member has a master's degree in computer science or electronics and works in roles such as software engineer, technical lead, technical expert, camera designer, project manager or line manager. Our goal is to efficiently run product development projects and deliver products to the market with high quality to strengthen Axis' market leading position.
