Project Manager IT at Scania Financial Services
Scania Financial Services is serving customers, dealers and distributors in 51 markets through 15 captive business units with financing and insurance solutions. In markets where we operate Financial Services finance about one third of Scania's sales. Over 700 dedicated professionals manage a portfolio consisting of 100.000 trucks, buses, coaches and trailers representing around 55 bn SEK of assets.
The central Process and IT function within Financial Services today consist of 8 people. The function has been build up from 2010 and our goal is to make sure that IT supports the common processes in the best possible and cost-effective way. We are looking for a Project Manager to strengthen our central team in Södertälje. You will have a central role with responsibility to lead the project team and the cooperation with external and internal suppliers. You will be joining a team with high spirit and service orientation towards subsidiaries. We are located together with the Global Management for Financial Services, in Södertälje.
The role of a Project Manager
The Project Manager should have an active and operative role within the Financial Services projects with a focus on central projects. However the role also involves supporting local projects in terms of project management. In practise this involves managing evaluation and implementation projects of any new major business systems for our leasing operations. You are also actively involved in the project team in the markets where there is other system changes planned. The Project Manager will be mainly responsible for:
• Responsible for create, monitor and control the project plan according to the project priorities.
• Conduct stakeholder (process owners, project team, steering group, vendors) management during the whole project life cycle.
• Plan, execute and follow up the central IS/IT projects.
• Maintaining relations to common software suppliers and coordinating changes and negotiations with suppliers of common systems e.g. upgrade projects.
Your profile
We are looking for a structured and business oriented team member with the ambition to grow with us. You have a degree in IS/IT development or have acquired this knowledge in your profession. Your skills and/or qualities includes:
• Project management skills
• Experience in system implementations
• Experience in bridging the gap between the business need and the system ability
• Leasing and financing business knowledge
• Fluency in English is a must
You need to be self-driven and proactive in the contacts with local finance companies and suppliers. Good communication abilities, service orientation, accuracy and good negotiation skills are also important characteristics for this role. The job offers plenty of international contacts both with our finance companies as well as software suppliers. This means also that you will be expected to travel from time to time.
In this position you will be reporting to the Head of Business IT.
