H&M has over 4,400 stores in more than 60 markets worldwide. And we are continuing to grow. H&M develops and maintains one of the largest retail websites in the world with 50+ sites and hundreds of thousands visitors every day.
To be able to support transition to new platforms we need to secure a stable production without disruption for a number of functions within the H&M organization.
H&M are doing a transition for the Online area that will result in a change of system and processes. When end of life for the old legacy systems the capabilities will need to be covered elsewhere.
As a start we will perform a a pre-study to make sure we have identified the gaps and understood the business need for the function. It is also crucial that all prioritized gaps finds an owner.
In the work with replacing existing systems, we also see a need for ensure the Product flow in full. A small project with purpose of replacing tool for products related to different types of activities need to be executed during the autumn/winter.
We see a need for a combined role of Project Managers for both initiatives.
The IT Project Manager will work closely together with business Project Manager and the project team.
The contract covers 100% based in Stockholm.
Work Task
The pre-study should deliver the following:
• List of capabilities within a PI legacy system
• Description of capability and who is using the capability or if capability is actually used or should remain as a capability
• Identification of business processes and way-of-working where legacy system for PI is included
• Proposed changes in business processes and way-of-working
• Gap analysis including suggestions for capabilities to be discontinued
• Proposed ownership for the gap
• Propose a way forward
• For the product activity planning part the Project Manager should drive this as a small project (through analyze, design, build, test and implement the solution).
The following items are also included in the assignment:
• Financial follow-up.
• Manage the project plan and all project related documents and deliverables expected from the IT department.
• Report to the steering group and other stakeholders
• Be responsible for all IT related tasks and deliverables when transferring the project to the maintenance organization.
• Coordinate project team members.
Specific Competence
Required Skills/qualifications
• Experience as Project Manager
• Experience of IT development projects
• Experience of working within the marketing area.
• A technical background and knowledge.
• Good at expressing yourself in English and Swedish both in speech and writing.
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience of Product Information Management projects/tools
