Main responsibilities
Are you one that sucessfully can run improvement projects in purchasing, so that Alfa Laval can benefit from it and increase its purchasing power? You will be part of a strategically important and energetic project management organisation located in Operations Development - a centralised department reporting directly to the Alfa Laval Operations Group.
You will be responsible for developing and implementing major projects in a global context. Your primary focus will be in the purchasing area where we currently are working on a major improvement program targeting improved incoming quality, predictability in delivery and low total cost. You will be in charge of several projects at the same time that typically involve several parts of the organisation. You will act as a consultant and partner at strategic, tactical and operational levels.
You will be the driving force behind processes of change and optimisation; you will work highly independently as project manager and, in some cases, as part of a project team. Some of your counterparts are at management level, so your assignments can be strategically oriented. You have the opportunity to create visible results in a global context. You will be located in Lund and you should anticipate some travel, with up to 50 nights away, on an annual basis.
Qualifications
Your educational background is at bachelor level or higher, possibly in engineering. Or you may have an M.Sc. in business or supply chain management.
You have several years' of experience working with purchasing or supply chain. Previous experience in a consultant function or as project manager for larger purchasing improvement projects is a clear advantage.
Personally, you are accustomed to seeing opportunities rather than limitations and you know how to navigate on all levels of an organisation. You have a consultant approach towards larger complex projects and are motivated by both finding solutions and executing the projects with a good diplomatic sense.
