You will be part of ABB FACTS in Västerås. FACTS (Flexible AC Transmissions System) covers several technologies. It is efficient, generates improved quality and increased capacity in the electrical power systems and the industry. FACTS-solutions enable increased production and enhanced quality in the power systems with a minimal environmental impact. The business unit FACTS has 240 co-workers.
Are you ready to use your experience to be in charge of the management as well as the technical and commercial responsibility of assigned high-level projects? Would you like to play a major role in impact on the organisations' reputation, objectives and future business? ABB Power Systems is currently growing and therefore in need of Project Managers to strengthen our global business, which is based in Västerås - Sweden.
In this high-profile position you will hold the overall responsibilities for the management of assigned large multimillion projects, including commercial and technical responsibility. This calls for solid seniority and, given your experience, you are profoundly familiar with tasks involved. You will have a major role in strategies and internally you will represent Power Systems and externally you will represent ABB. As the projects you will answer for are large-scale projects, there is a high degree of Risk Management involved in your work. In other words, you must be able to handle the fact that sources we cannot affect may cause unforeseen delays in your projects. You will also manage, both strategically and operationally, the appropriate use of technical and human resources. As a front figure on our markets all over the world you are expected to have a keen interest in finding out and sharing your knowledge about new development, market trends, competitors' products and risk management.
As Project Manager you are expected to have some years' experience of managing international projects, preferably holding a PMP Certification and a Master or Bachelor's Degree. An ABB Certification is considered an additional qualification.
Your experience as a Project Manager has provided you with strong leadership and interpersonal skills. This means that you are a sharp negotiator, with an excellent ability to resolve issues, develop management and work constructively with customer relations. You get your messages across in a coherent and clear way and lead your projects with great confidence - and you have the character to stand straight in good times and bad times alike. As Project Manager you also need to be highly experienced in Risk Management. This, among other things, means that you are able to stay calm even if unforeseen events threaten to cause severe delays in your projects. Your achievements are of course built upon a solid sense for business
