Project manager for Human Rights Innovation Initiative

Our global presence and local networks gives us a deep understanding about the problems that human rights defenders face, but we do not always have the solutions – Human Rights Innovation Initiative is about finding those. We have a funding of 9 million SEK secured from the Swedish Postcode Lottery – which you will be responsible for.

Your role is to develop and implement innovation models for the benefit of human rights. While based in Stockholm you will be travelling regularly to secure an understanding of the challenges that human rights defenders are facing and to build networks. You will also be responsible for developing and implementing a communication strategy and to create a webplatform for the project. To secure the future of this project you will also be responsible for the development and implementation of a fundraising strategy.

Qualifications

Academic degree in Business, Economics, Political Science, Engineering, Law or similarFluency in English (oral and writing)Substantial experience from Project management, preferably from management consulting or PR consulting.

Personal skills

We are looking for a strong communicator, with excellent networking skills that is ready to travel globally at least 30 % of the time. Your strategic mind set will be useful, but above all we are looking for someone who is result-oriented and operational! Budget and fundraising experience and knowledge about innovations processes will be beneficial, although it is not a requirement.
