The Hexagon Group is a leading global provider of integrated design, measurement and visualisation technologies. Svensk Byggnadsgeodesi AB (SBG), situated in Stockholm (Huddinge), is a part of the Machine Control Division within Hexagon and has a strong reputation for developing high quality products, mainly for the construction industry. SBG is one of three development locations for our Construction business and is focused on implementing the latest technology for our machine control product range in order to increase efficiency and productivity for our customers.
Duties and responsibilities
To support the overall growth strategy for the Machine Control Construction business, SBG is now hiring a Project Manager to lead our Stockholm-based development projects. This role will be an essential part of product development on Office, Machine, Field and Telematics solutions and will be the link back to the R&D Director, located in Switzerland, on project milestones.
The Project Manager will lead a multi-disciplined team of Engineers, and additional resources as required, to deliver project deliverables in line with agreed milestones and timelines for the design and development of our products. The Project Manager will also define the project's objectives, aligned with the overall development strategy and product roadmap as well as oversee quality control throughout its lifecycle.
Qualification
The successful candidate will have a degree in Engineering, Technology, Business or a relevant field; or will have an equivalent combination of qualifications and experience in a relevant field.
Formal qualifications in Project Management (e.g. IPMA certification) will be highly regarded.
Work experience
Previous experience managing projects with budgets of EUR 1million or more is essential. You must have proven ability to lead a cross-functional team to work effectively and deliver on project milestones and project tasks, without direct line management responsibilities. To be successful in this role, you will have the ability to take the lead on developing project plans that meet the scope and requirements of the project as per the agreed business plan and strategy.
Personal characteristics
To be successful in this role you will have strong communication and presentation skills; the capability of providing direction to project team members both locally and remotely; and the ability to analyse and communicate risks and apply strategies to minimise them.You are also pro active, process oriented and pragmatic, with a strong work ethic, sense of urgency, responsibility and accountability.

As the ProjectManager for the Machine Control Construction R&D projects in Stockholm, you will be working with highly skilled personnel and "state of the art" products in an expanding business. There is an immense potential for further growth in this market and you will be part of an international team and have the pleasure of working closely together with people who are enthusiastic about these technologies.
Some travel within Europe will be required. Since you will be working in an international environment you need to be fluent in English (both written and verbal skills). Swedish language skills would also be beneficial.
