This is us, your new colleagues
Platform Development is a function within Global Product Development (GPD) at Volvo Buses. We are responsible for developing platform solutions within the areas of Chassis Body in white, Body, Powertrain and Electrical. The main sites are located in Sweden and Brazil. The Project Office is one of the departents at Platform Development. The team is responsible for driving the engineering part of our main projects.
Role description
The PME is fully responsible and accountable for the overall technical delivery and timing of the assigned project or sub part of a project. This includes working with scope, time plan, budget and risk management. Stakeholder management is one important task to secure common understanding and support for the project.
The PME is also responsible for building the engineering project team and together with the team build and follow up the plan and deliveries as well as raising and resolving issues and obstacles for the team. The PME is also part of the Project Management Group (PMG) and is one of the key players in this team. It is therefore important to work actively and contribute to the overall project targets also in this team.
To secure learning in the organization it is also the responsibility of the PME to secure knowledge capture and re-use in the project and together with the line organization, as well as identifying, driving and implementing lessons learned.

To succeed in this role you need to be a team builder and working with your coaching leadership skills. We think you are a strong team player, self-starter and have the ability to take initiatives. You also like to operate in a changing environment and have a solution oriented mindset.

It's also great if you have some experience in Project Management and have a Bachelor of Science degree in Business, Engineering or related field.
