Right now, I plan to strengthen my team with more project managers that can help us in our transformation journey. We continue to increase our R&D budget and invest even further within advanced engineering to develop technologies for a sustainable future. We have several important projects ongoing concerning electrical drive lines, fuel cells as well as our combustion engines for alternative fuels for both marine and industrial use. We aim to stay competitive during our transition period.
You will be responsible for planning and leading technology development projects within several areas in order to prepare for full industrialization. You are also responsible for the advance engineering budget and time plan. It is important that you create a good collaboration with stakeholders and line managers as well as external partners and networks. You shall be comfortable with communication and presenting your result and need to steering groups.
Project Management Engineering belongs to Product and Solution Development which is the Engineering function of 500 employees within Volvo Penta. As a PME (Project Management Engineer) for advanced engineering you will be responsible for maturing the technical concepts considering features, supply chain/purchasing and manufacturing.
Competence Profile & Qualifications
To qualify for this role, you should:
Have at least 5 of project management experience and know the advanced engineering process and its technology readiness levels well and have personal experience from maturing a technology
Preferably have experience from one or several of the technology areas, Electric Driveline, Fuel cells, Energy storage systems and/or Internal Combustion Engines
Have an excellent relationship- and interpersonal skill and you can easily reach across functions, processes and organization when needed. You bring the best out of individuals as well as the organization
