At Husqvarna Construction, we are seeking a dynamic individual to take on the role as Project Manager for Electronics and Software, where you will play a pivotal role in driving innovation and shaping the future of our projects.
Husqvarna Construction is probably best known as a world leader in machinery and diamond tools for the construction and stone industries. The department for Electronics & Software specialize in developing drive systems, encompassing power electronics and hard real-time software for all products within the company. Additionally, we excel in software for machine behavior, diagnostics, connectivity, and user interfaces.
As a project manager in the field of hardware and software, you will be handling parallel development projects, which include up to ten resources from your department. Your input is a crucial component within the overall scope, and you will work closely with fellow project managers and Lead Engineers to successfully conclude the projects. The proportion of projects involving electronics and software is growing within construction. Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning: Lead the planning and execution of projects integrating cutting-edge technology into construction. Shape project direction with expertise from initiation to closure, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and industry trends.
Stakeholder Management: Proactively engage with stakeholders, fostering open communication and collaboration. Navigate complex relationships crucial for success in the dynamic world of construction technology.
Adaptive Problem-Solving: Tackle scope deviations and challenges innovatively. Work closely with your team to implement effective solutions, ensuring project objectives are not only met but surpassed in the realm of cutting-edge technology.
Project Office Excellence: Maintain high project office standards by adhering to industry best practices. Stay abreast of the latest methodologies in construction technology, contributing to continuous improvement and keeping our projects at the forefront, including electronics and software.
In this role, you will report to the Director of Electronics and Software and be part of the management team. You will coordinate and serve as a spokesperson for other project managers, as well as interact with the managers of hardware, software and test, to collectively establish strategies and resource planning.
To excel in this role, you should possess:
• A post-secondary education in a relevant field as well as a background within product development in HW, SW, Control Systems or equivalent
• Several years of hands-on experience in project management, demonstrating expertise in team management, planning, budgeting, and risk management.
• Solid experience in managing cross-functional and distributed projects, particularly in hybrid projects involving electronics and/or software.
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, with knowledge of Swedish considered beneficial.
