Service Market Logistics (SML) is part of Volvo Group Trucks Operations (GTO). We are approximately 3,500 employees in more than 40 locations globally and deliver world class operational excellence for our customers based on smart logistics solutions. Our job is to develop, manage and optimize the Service Market (Aftermarket) supply chain for all Volvo Group brands and JV's. The scope for Service Market Logistics includes Flow Optimization, Inventory Management, Distribution Center operations, Customs & Trade as well as the development of logistics solutions to ensure highest possible parts availability, delivery precision and quality everywhere in the world. Operations Excellence is a global function in SML, responsible to develop and secure global standards and to drive innovations and cross-regional development capturing and balancing customer needs. The aim is to make sure that the operative regions work in a harmonized and effective way by utilizing innovative solutions and best practices delivering excellent service to the entire Volvo Group Service Market. Operations Excellence also manage and develop global Commercial Packaging, as well as being the host function for SML Volvo Production System way of working (lean management).

The Operations Excellence Project manager team consists of highly skilled and motivated people. They drive some of the most important projects for the service market. Our project managers reside in Sweden, France and the US. We work on individual projects but we also team up to support each other and to develop our own skills and development processes. In our team, there will be both the opportunity to lead projects with high integrity but at the same time to be inspired and supported by other project managers. So we are certain that you will be a great asset to the development of Electromobility logistics and to our team of really qualified project managers.

Main areas of responsibility:

The role includes managing cross-regional or global projects securing to fulfill agreed time plan, scope, cost and quality of deliverables in accordance with the project scope and manage dedicated resources. You are also responsible to monitor the progress and performance as well as delivering within the time- and budget frame.

The type of projects you will manage will be of:
Considerable size in terms of budget
Medium to high technical and organizational complexity
Project stakeholders at executive level
Strategic importance and medium-high Business impact

The project manage role is also expected to:
Translate high level business needs into project requirements and deliverables
Efficiently lead remote/partly remote cross-functional project teams, including defining needed competences and resource levels
Comply with applicable standards and steering model defined for the project type
Drive alignment of expectations with project stakeholders
Manage project risks and deviations
Efficiently communicate project performance and follow-up to steering committees and other stakeholders

Electromobility service market logistics scope

You will focus on Electromobility logistics, with a primary focus on battery logistics solutions for vehicle propulsion. This role could potentially be involved in other projects as well, but during a foreseeable time-period Electromobility logistics projects will be focused. The following tasks will be included in your scope:
Lead assigned business / IT projects in relation to establishing long term viable solutions for Electromobility service market logistics, with special focus on high energy storage batteries
Be involved in the development of efficient and compliant operational processes and IT support so SML can manage Electromobility Logistics for all Volvo brands globally
Be involved in the development of life cycle logistics solutions for batteries for Volvo

Required qualifications:
University degree in business administration, engineering, logistics or related areas
Proven capability to manage large scale projects with sufficient skills in the service market / aftermarket logistics area
Excellent networking and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and influence people across different functions and cultures
Preferably, with a knowledge of the service market / aftermarket business and strong understanding of customer needs. Heavy automotive product knowledge and specifically knowledge related to Electromobility is a merit.
Capable of translating high level business needs into project requirements and deliverables
Strong drive for results and execution
Very good planning and communication skills
Fluent in English, both written and spoken

You will be based in Gothenburg, Sweden and belong to the Operations Excellence Project Management team. You will report to the Director Project Management. Occasional travelling will be required.
