Electrical systems integration & Development within the unit Vehicle Software & Electronics is responsible for integration of the complete electrical system in Volvo Cars Group vehicle programs and the electrical development process. In systems integration we plan and track functional implementation and we lead integration activities to secure software releases to verification in vehicle programs and to running production. We are integration leaders, software configuration managers, test engineers, advanced fault tracers and HIL engineers. We run integration management and we offer test environment and test rigs for the complete electrical system.

Working as Project manager for Electrical integration on the Complete electrical system means that you will establish and develop relationships with Complete Vehicle and Architects within different system areas of the complete vehicle as well as building an understanding of the designs within those areas. The integration and testing will takes place in different types of soft and hard test environments as well as in vehicle. You will mainly work in concept phase with the responsibility to coordinate Integration management activities and deliveries, i.e. Series demand, Budget, AVB (Analyse and Verification need), Model year plan and Functional Planning activities. The work is to coordinate project scope vs other projects scope reviewing and proposing content of series of demands to match relating project content vs donor projects i.e. find synergies between projects to set up for efficient and effective integration. Understand the architectural changes and relations between project content. Propose changes to the Project Plan to match other project plans. The PM will work to enable Continuous Deployment and Continuous Integration supported by the electrical system test strategy. The role will work to support the challenges to separate Software from Hardware and the transformation towards agile development and deliveries.
Main Responsibilities:
* Strategies and technical / logical plan for the integration area
* Support Functional planning for projects
* Support architecture selection for proto-type-builds from a integration perspective
* Projects budget for during Concept phase
* Input data for the PSR (Program Status Report) related to system development according to the project content
* System integration plans described in the Model year plan (System Development Plan) from all Project Managers, donor projects, Signal database relations, for both Hardware and Software, from Integration perspective
* Participates in the development of integration and test strategies
* Development of processes, methods and tools
Minimum Qualifications:
* Fluent in Swedish & English, spoken and written
* Good theoretical and practical knowledge of integration management
* Experience from Systems Engineering methodologies or system testing
* Experience from Project Management or Agile, Scrum or Lean team lead development
Preferred Qualifications:
* M.Sc. / B.Sc. or several years of relevant experience
* Good understanding of functions and systems on complete vehicle
* Experience of electrical architecture, signal configuration, communication, diagnosis and software-download
* Basic understanding of the process, relation, interfaces between Volvo Cars internal customers and R&D
* Good understanding of VPDS (Virtual Project Development Software)
