Blades and Nacelle Project Manager will support the Offshore Model Manager and System Integration Leaders by developing and maintaining integrated project plans for all engineering functions to deliver on the Offshore platform. He/she will be responsible for the project planning, scheduling, and follow up for all engineering activities in the development of composite components such as blades, nacelle and spinner.
Essential Responsibilities
He/She will work closely together with the Program Management, Module Managers and System Integration Leaders, Center of Excellence (COE) - teams and cross-functionally with Sourcing, Service, etc. to maintain integrity with the business plan and to ensure proper coordination.
• Establish business review plans (tollgates), schedule and participate in design reviews with the Chief Engineer Office and track action items.
• Facilitate routine program reviews with the working team on program status, issues and risks as well as budgets and to establish Quality Roadmaps.
• Identify and mitigate programs delays for critical deliverables and milestones
• Develop and maintain Metrics to manage the different composite development programs
• Routinely and concisely communicate program progress to Sr. Leadership
• Manage programs per the New Product Introduction (NPI) Tollgate Process tools utilizing Design for Six Sigma to ensure products meet all critical requirements (CTQs) including specified product ability, performance, reliability, and cost targets.
• Manage Root Cause Analysis (RCAs) and design improvements according to EED RCA process
• Identify and implement design process and RCA process improvements
• Ensure proper maintenance of all design documentation in the Design Record Book
• Drive and support the offshore systems team for component development by setting up and keeping track of the project plans within his/her area.
• Integrate with the Chief Engineering Offices and Quality Team to fully implement and facilitate the NPI tollgate review process, design review, action item tracking and closure.
• Work closely with other Program Managers for cross-functional support and best practice sharing.
• Perform all work in accordance with applicable ISO-9001:2000 standards
