We are looking for a communicative Head Project Manager who enjoys creating structure and transparency. Leadership and understanding of complex projects and a drive for delivering project scope is essential.
Your role
As a Head Project Manager for Special Mission and Regional Aircraft (SMRA) You will lead complex, high priority aircraft modification projects on the Global Eye Platform. You are also internal contract responsible and will work close together with SMRA contract owner responsible.
The position entails complete responsibility for economy, schedule, scope and delivery for the platform project. Your project team includes project managers for each project area, i.e. owning cost and schedule estimates, defining delivery plans, risk and opportunity assessments and ensuring that Saab's product and airworthiness processes are handled correctly. Over time the project management tasks will vary in both complexity and scope and we will together set your individual development plan according to your earlier experiences and career interests.
Your profile
We are looking for a driven senior project manager with the ability to both see the big picture and understand the details where necessary. You are comfortable with stakeholder management - work together across subprojects, business units and organizations, and maintain our good cooperation with Business Unit Surveillance, our Lead System Integrator. This position will give you a wide network within Saab AB.
You are a good communicator with the ability to create trust and commitment among those in your team and project stakeholders. You strive to identify new possibilities, challenges and ways to be more efficient and you act on them. You lead by example. You set high values in creating a project culture which contributes to a sustainable work environment, with transparency, fun at work, respect and commitment. You are interested in sharing your competence and contributing to development of project managers within SMRA PMO.
This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.

Special Mission and Regional Aircraft, a part of the Aeronautics Business Area within Saab, delivers extensive aircraft platform modifications, services and integrated support solutions for cost effective support of systems and platforms during the complete life cycle. SMRA currently has several high profile Special Mission and Civil delivery projects ongoing, with more on the way. Our business aims to establish and support the customer capability to operate and maintain world class systems like GlobalEye, SK60, Saab 340 and 2000.
