The demands:
The general demands for these positions are several years’ experience of work in a large company with a complex operation. That experience is preferably gained from a managing job position.
Technically, the position involves technical coordination, where you as project manager need an understanding of the technical solution. On account of that, we expect that you have a technological background.
Your success as project manager is, naturally, dependent on your personality. It is therefore necessary that you are composed and stable, but still clear with an inner drive. Equally important personal traits are your ability to see things from a wider perspective, managing stressful situations and several projects simultaneously.
This position also demands an ability to collaborate in teams, create team spirit and get everyone involved to work in the same direction. It is also important that you can make uncomfortable decisions and manage projects in success and setbacks alike.
As a project manager of the right stature you are minute and accurate, structured with inititative and can shoulder responsibilities. You also lack personal prestige, as you know that collaboration is an effective tool to reach set goals.
Power Systems, HVDC- Ludvika works with the technology HVDC (high-voltage direct current). Classic HVDC has been on the market for over 50 years and is used to transmit electrical power over long distances at low power loss through overhead transmission lines or submarine cables. HVDC Light® has existed for 10 years and is used to transmit electrical power primarily through underground and submarine cable in applications such as sea based wind power and power supply of platforms. High voltage direct current is also used to interconnect separate power systems, where traditional alternating current (AC) connections can not be used. Read more about this frontline technology
