You will be part of ABB hoisting, a business unit within ABB's Industrial Automation division.
The unit delivers complete solutions, industry-specific products and lifecycle services to clients in the Mining Industry.
The business's added value is deep industry expertise coupled with the ability to integrate both electrical and automation, resulting in faster start-up times, increased plant productivity and reduced overall capex and opex spend for customers. We are about 80 employees in Västerås. Our projects vary in size from smaller refurbishment orders to major international projects that extend for several years in time.
Your responsibilities
Your main task will be managing the delivery of mine hoist and automation systems to our global customer base. The delivery content can be a combination of switchgears, control systems, software, drive systems, motors, heavy mechanical equipment, installation, and commissioning.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead the project group to set goals. As our representative, you will participate in procurement of equipment and contractors, as well as have commercial responsibility when representing ABB in various projects. In short, you will have full responsibility for projects content, finances and timetable, within the given framework with allocated resources.
Your background
To succeed in the role, you have a minimum of 3 years of higher technical education, combined with at least 5 years of relevant work experience. Since you will work in a global environment English language full proficiency is mandatory in reading and writing.. In addition, proficiency in Swedish, written and spoken alike, is a requirement.
Today, you might already work in project management or as a delivery manager in a company that supplies technical equipment to the industry. It is qualifying if you have some years of experience as a commercially responsible project manager of technical equipment for industrial customers, preferably internationally.
As a representative for ABB, you must be customer focused and ensure that we deliver according to their expectations. Your ability to manage your project team and to communicate within all business levels are valuable qualities, crucial for your success. You are a result- and solution-oriented professional, used to an entrepreneur-like mindset, with high drive and persistence.
