To further strengthen our Project Management team, we are currently recruiting a world-class Project Manager. Our team is accountable for providing project management expertise to support delivery of drug projects from the pre-clinical to clinical phase. You will join a department with both senior and junior colleagues who work in close collaboration to support and challenge each other. Additionally, you are surrounded by excellent scientists who will contribute with expert knowledge as well as a real passion for science.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

In this role, you will be part of several cross-functional project teams across different therapy areas. Your mission is to ensure that the operational delivery aligns with the project strategy and that each project is set up and handled according to standard methodology. We expect you to facilitate the different project teams' decision-making process and to operationally be in the driving seat of drug projects.

Furthermore, you will:

* Ensure efficient management of project teams including project information, quality of data and projection, and integrity of information supplied
* Lead team initiatives ensuring that adequate resources are available for project delivery as well as compliance towards required quality, time and cost standards
* Drive new strategies for project management either as an authority or through project management
* Provide expert technical support on project management tools to the teams
* Lead the governance process by ensuring projects follow both internal and external regulations
* Establish and lead the project environment
* Act as specialist in implementing and communicating about project processes and new project management strategies
* Represent AstraZeneca your function at external events

Essential Requirements

* MSc in a relevant discipline
* Extensive experience in Scientific Project Management
* Deep understanding of drug development and key business processes
* Evidence of strong interpersonal and building excellent relationships
* Experience of effective working in multi-cultural teams
* Evidence and experience of leading teams to delivery
* Deep understanding of the latest technical expectations/system knowledge
* Project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent)
* Extensive interest in Project and Information management

Desirable Requirements

* Advanced degree in a scientific discipline
* Experience of Scientific Project Management within clinical phase
* Publications and presentations in the arena of Project management
