HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) is a business unit within ABB's Power Grids division located in Ludvika.?The unit develops, manufactures and sells DC transmission systems on a global market. This ABB developed HVDC technology is used to transmit electricity over long distances and for power transmission via submarine cables. HVDC is also used to connect power systems.
Tasks
As Project Manager within the Valve Department of HVDC, you will have an exciting and important position in our global organization. Here you will continuously meet new people and exciting challenges. As a Project Manager, you ensure that our dedicated projects are delivered on time at the right cost and quality. You will manage and lead the team of large projects within the scope of HVDC's mega-systems installed all over the world.
More specifically your scope includes the delivery of HVDC Valves, Valve Cooling System and the Optical Measurement equipment. Within these areas, you will coordinate a team of electrical, mechanical and test engineers, as well as material supply and production.
This is a challenging and exciting role where you will be able to grow and be a key part of delivering our HVDC systems all over the world!
Requirements
In this role, we look for leadership, communication and collaborative ability. It is to your advantage if you are familiar with the HVDC technology and your degree is in engineering. As a person, you are structured and well organized, experienced in following up on planning-related and financial project tasks. You are also open minded and a continuous learner.
