Business Office & IT is working on behalf of the head of Purchasing and the Leadership Team to secure that the strategic priorities of Purchasing are fulfilled and to govern and ensure efficiency, harmonization and continuous improvements in the running purchasing operation.
GTP is now starting the transformation journey to a Best-in-Class Purchasing organization, which will mean a challenging and motivating road ahead. As a consequence, we are now reforming our IT strategy too meet the high demands going forward.
As a consequence, we are now looking for yet another Project Manager in our IT & Strategic Project organization

Mission
To support the group vision of creating values for customers by making sure that we deploy global mature process & IT solutions.
As business project manager you will be responsible for driving projects securing optimal business output by addressing the dimensions of quality, delivery precision, cost and requirements.
Your primary focus will be to manage P&IT projects in accordance with the Project Handbook methodology addressing systems and solutions in the Purchasing portfolio. But you will also manage investigations, pre-studies and non-gated assignments depending on priority and need.
You may also take responsibility for managing parts of the roadmap, including the planning and execution of activities to reach the targets within a specific area.

Main Responsibilities
• Manage IS/IT projects in accordance with applicable methodologies and KPIs
• Lead investigations and portfolio pre-studies
• Potentially manage planning and execution of tracks within the IT Roadmap
• Interact with key stakeholders both within Purchasing and in other functions
• Lead and manage the network of people involved in the assignments
• Work in accordance with Volvo processes and Code of Conduct
• Be part of a team of Project Managers and report directly to the Director of IT & Strategic Projects

Competence & Experience
• At least 5 years of documented project management experience
• Proven experience in applying the Project Handbook Methodology
• Strong leadership and project management skills
• Flexibility to work with a wide range of projects
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Result oriented, with ability to deliver according to committed targets on time, cost and quality
• Ability to go from the holistic strategic view and into the details when needed
• Experience of managing change in cross functional and multi-cultural networks
• High level of integrity and trust
• Ability to put what is best for the company in focus
• Interest in continuously acquiring new knowledge and quick to get up to speed when presented with a new task, leveraging knowledge already gained in other assignments
• University masters degree in relevant discipline
• Fluent in English (spoken/written)
• Knowledge on purchasing processes & systems and portfolio mamangement is a strong plus
