You will be part of Process Industries, a business unit within ABB's Industrial Automation division. The Process Industries business unit delivers complete electrification and automation solutions, industry-specific products and lifecycle services to clients in mining, pulp & paper, metals, aluminium and cement. Metallurgy center of excellence in Västerås develops, manufactures and sells EMS systems and provides a wide range of benefits in the field of casting, melting and refining of steel and aluminium.
As Project Manager at Metallurgy Products you will be responsible for the entire project lifecycle. You will have the opportunity to follow the projects through from first order to final acceptance after delivery and commissioning on customers' site. This includes the technical, commercial, schedule- and quality-related aspects of the project.
Your mission will be to lead the project team, allocated to the project, which includes allocating project tasks, motivating and monitoring internal and external resources. In this outgoing position you will interact with global customers and suppliers, as well as internal staff.
You will also ensure that the project follows execution best practices and ABB policies. Other tasks will be monitoring project financials and identifying project risks, but also analyzing and sharing lessons learned throughout the project. Beside this you should also ensure that the project consistently applies contract and claim management, in accordance with ABB policies and contractual agreements.
An important part of the role is to act as a key contact for the customer and to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Most orders are aimed at export, which means that travelling is part of the position. You will have extensive customer contact in English and also be handling administration through our ERP system SAP R/3.
You hold a degree in Engineering, have some years' experience from project management and are used to manage industry projects. Experience from metal or other process industries as well as PMP® certification from Project Management Institute or relevant certifications from other institutions are advantageous.
As you will be working in a global, multicultural environment, you are fluent in English, written and spoken alike, whereas knowledge of Swedish and other languages is a plus.
