About the job
About the jobPureBallast is an innovative Ballast Water Treatment System preventing the spread of invasive species to local marine environments. Alfa Laval has a century-long relationship with the maritime industry and the customers include shipbuilders, industry subcontractors, vessel owners and operators. You will be a part of our Project Management team, which will lead a number of projects where the final objective is installed and operating systems on-board the end customers' ships. You will work in a dynamic, international environment with close collaboration with sales and order department and you will get technical support from product specialists. Your job assignments will be:
Planning and coordinating multiple customer projects for engineering, delivery, approval and installation
Communicate and manage the cooperation with all involved partners, including both internal and external contacts
Monitor deliveries
Handle project related costs and manage towards estimations
Secure invoicing and keep track of project costs
Control the contract and content of delivery
Monitor deviations between product and customer demands and make sure they are highlighted and taken care of
Educate local project managers
Support the sales organization in the sales process
What you knowYou will be working in a highly international business environment, with multiple internal and external contacts world-wide. We believe that you have a technical education, at least at Bachelor level, and great general understanding of technology. It is important that you have experience of project management in an international environment and a good understanding of how to work through a large organization. Experience from marine industry, engineering and installation is an advantage.As a person you are social, open minded, logical, responsible and service minded with a strong mindset for business. You can work by your own, take initiatives and suggest improvements. When you communicate with others, you always do it in a respectful way. You have good computer skills and can handle the Office package. Fluency in English is a requirement.The Project Manager will be based in Stockholm (Tumba), Sweden. The expected number of travel days is approx. 25 days/year.
