Division
The Center for Eating Disorders Innovation (CEDI) is a new entity at the department of medical epidemiology and biostatistics, MEB, and has been established under the auspices of the Swedish Research Council.
We are an interdisciplinary team and we employ a diverse set of methodologies including genetic epidemiology, molecular genetics, microbiology, animal models to enhance knowledge about the causes, treatments, and prevention of eating disorders.
Duties
As a Project manager you will work for a program of work in the genetic epidemiology of eating disorders in the Center for Eating Disorders Innovation (CEDI). The appointee will, under Prof Bulik's direction, manage multiple projects whose purpose is to rapidly gain insight into the causes of eating disorders and thereby advance treatment and prevention efforts. The main parts are: (a) to oversee completion of CREATâ-an investigation of monozygotic twins who are discordant for anorexia nervosa; (b) to oversee and manage Swedish BEGIN (Binge-Eating Genetics INitiative); (c) to oversee and manage a follow-on study of ANGI focused on the relation between host genomics and microbiota; and (d) to manage additional projects as they emerge.
Project management will entail: (a) providing input on personnel planning, (b) obtaining and maintaining Ethical approvals, (c) participation in scientific strategy and prioritization, (d) direct responsibility for supervision of study personnel, (e) financial management, and (f) responsibility for meeting all project milestones.
Entry requirements
PhD in Psychology or related discipline. Post-doctoral training specifically in eating disorders genetic epidemiology
We require that you have clinical and/or research experience working with eating disorders. Extensive familiarity with current eating disorders genetic epidemiology (including publication history, knowledge of the field, the groups leading the effort). Knowledge of all phases of genetic epidemiology studies (ascertainment, phenotyping, DNA biobanking, genomic assays, quality control, and analysis).
Further we see that you have experience in the use of Swedish national records for eating disorders research. Professional experience with modern project management, and demonstrated ability to successfully lead team efforts. Demonstrated ability to oversee multidisciplinary research groups.
As a person you are detail-oriented, exceptionally responsible, highly focused, collegial, and demonstrated capacity to work in a team-science context.
