In our business each docking runs as a project. The duration of our projects are about 7-10 days for a normal repair and longer if it is conversions.
As project manager you are in charge of the whole docking process; planning, organization, costs, delivery on schedule and to keep our client updated during the process, identify variation orders for client?s submission and approval.
Your qualifications:
Marine engineer, naval architect or mechanical engineer with experience in shipping.
Experience in similar role within shipbuilding/ship repair industry
Must have ability to communicate with vessel owners & representatives
Must be commercially astute, able to identify variations to contract from specification
Must be able to estimate the value of the work any variations require
Must be able to identify any impact that these variations have on schedule
Must be able to prepare a written variation document for client submission & approval
Must have the ability to control costs and produce daily/weekly reports on each Project
Swedish/English, spoken and written fluently
Experienced user of Microsoft office
Driver license
