Perstorp?s Innovation Team now has an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager. The role will be based in Perstorp with travel to Malmo for meetings required. Consideration may be given to it being based in Warrington or Stenungsund if this can be achieved.
Role Details:
The post holder will manage multidisciplinary project activities to deliver value from innovative products, where the primary driver is technical value in customer applications. This includes both the development of an idea from inception to a technically and commercially sound business case (feasibility studies) and taking approved business cases all the way to commercial success (projects).
The managed activity includes R&D, but also market analysis and is likely to include some activity delivered by other functions therefore needing an element of cross functional working.
Main Tasks:
• Drive and manage projects to deliver results according to time, budget and objectives
• Deliver Innovation project proposals. Through multi-disciplinary feasibility studies scout ideas to business cases that are either accepted to product or market development project proposals
• Align with business priorities through excellent relationships with business clients
• Gain acceptance from internal and external clients through the development of clear business cases that are relevant, easily understood. These should be embraced by and accepted by business clients and others as appropriate (Operations, Supply Chain)
• Develop and maintain a network with chosen customers in the relevant market segments. Develop external partners to increase speed to market and reduce risk and cost (for instance for testing, toll-manufacturing or agency, close customer collaboration).
Experience and qualifications required:
• Academic degree in a relevant technical subject, such as chemistry, chemical engineering, materials science, or lubricant
• Experience from Innovation, Business or Marketing would be an advantage as would experience of a Process engineering environment.
